On-site inspections are performed as required by individual job.  The inspection provides the consultant with a better understanding of the problem at hand.  Careful examination of the infested materials and of the storage or exhibition facilities provides important clues for combating the problem infestation.  A photographic record detailing construction of the facility and storage measures is initiated.  Often improper storage practices, obsolete facilities, not having knowledge of biologies of pest species, and the absence of monitoring devices allow pests to attain dangerously high levels usually before being perceived by maintenance personnel or support staff.  An integrated pest management program can be initiated and easily integrated into the daily schedule of the business.  Forensic cases involve studies using insects and other invertebrates collected from the homicide scene to provide estimation of insect colonization or post mortem interval, and from other sites to elucidate potential infestation sites or harborage areas.

In most cases, a comprehensive report is presented which is a result of both extensive research and laboratory investigations of the supplied specimens and often includes species identification, biological, natural history, and distributional data. 

Recommended control or eradication procedures are usually included for investigations of pest species.  Since clients may require additional information for their records, completed reports can vary from the aforementioned outline.

Consultation with condo and co-op boards isvery important in order to provide proper and accurate informations to apartment owners and stake holders.

Classes are available for presentation to health care professionals, pest control operators, school classes, and entomology society members on insects, myriapods, and arachnids including life history information, identification of pest species, and applicable management procedures (if required).

Educational classes are available for public demonstration in all aspects of entomology from species diversity to infestations and remediation to the science of entomophagy which includes tastings.

Many times presentations are for school and nature center classes, but certain ones are tailored for businesses and co-op and condo boards as well as law enforcement agencies as well as hospital and related medical personnel.

Entomophagy Events have included presentations and tastings at meetings of The New York Entomological Society; American Museum of Natural History, Department of Education, Adventures in the Global Kitchen; The New York Academy of Sciences; Columbia University of New York City Summer Research Program for Science Teachers; and Alimentary Initiatives (Future Food Salon Group) Eating Innovation Conferences of 2013 and 2014.

Entsult Associates, Inc. staff have provided interviews to newspaper and magazine reporters when insect-related articles are slated for publication and have also been interviewed on television, radio and Internet news programs when insect-related stories are presented and commentaries are required.
